This study aimed to develop a vision for activating the role of school administration in dealing with counterproductive work practices among teachers in basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman. It also aimed to recognize the impact of gender, as a study variable, in the presence of these behaviors. In order to achieve this a scale for measuring the counterproductive practices was used to work with Omani teachers which contains three dimensions. These were: a. poor commitment to work lows, b. ill-relationships with colleagues and heads, c. hostility in the workplace. A survey of the practices of school administration in dealing with the counterproductive behaviors and practices in the workplace was developed and distributed to a random sample of school administrative staff (school principals, assistant principals and senior teachers) who were randomly selected from four educational governorate. The standard deviations, and T test for the two independent samples were extracted. The study found that the counterproductive work behavior or practices of among Omani school teachers in a moderate level. The poor commitment to work lows came first. Of the most prominent behaviors that have been agreed upon by the members of the study sample were: failure to participate in the organization of the school queuing, the weak attending of school queuing, the increase of unnecessary complains, spending long times on the internet for purposes unrelated to work, using of inappropriate terms when dealing with colleagues and officials. And destruction of school tools and equipments. For a variable of type came to differences in favor of females in ill relationships with colleagues and heads. Finally regarding the practices of school administration in dealing with the counterproductive work behaviors among teachers, it was found that the estimation was ranged between high and medium. In order to activate the role of the school administration in dealing with counterproductive work behaviors and practices, he study provided a conceptional proposal based on the theoretical literature, the analysis of the efforts of the Ministry of Education in this regard, and the results of the field study. This has included the perception on the theoretical principles and local, and the elements of visualization, application requirements, and unforeseen obstacles to the application of the proposed scenario, and finally proposed actions to overcome those obstacles.
