This study seeks to define and analyze the content of 10 p.m. news bulletin on Omani Television by revealing its major components and the influencing factors to its coverage. It also shed light on the television news industry and how it is handled in the news visual sector on television in light of the transitions and variables the Oman Television has recently went through, and the reflection of these transitions on the news bulletins. This study is considered one of the descriptive studies that seeks to define the media mission and extract its main features by using the sampling survey methodology. To achieve its objective, the researcher analyzed the content of a sample consisted of (30) news bulletins for 10 p.m. Oman Television news i.e. for a total of (12 hours and 15 minutes), which were chosen based on a satellite week for a period extended from April 2, 2013 to November 20, 2013. Out of this study, the researcher concluded some important results such as that the local news at 10 p.m. news bulletin outperformed other news derived from other geographical locations and the percentage of news of political nature rose in comparison to other topics. As for the Arab issues in the 10 p.m. news bulletin, it was found that security related news outperformed other topics as a result of Arab spring revolution, while news
of economic nature held the lead comparatively high in the international news to other topics.
