The aim of the study was to find out the percentage of abuse suffered by the ninth grade students of both sexes, and to identify the most common types of abuse suffered during the child's childhood.
The sample of the study consisted of (209) male and female students, 102 males and 107 females. The child abuse scale (CTO) for David Bernstein 1995 was translated by Abu Al-Azim and Desouki, Prepared by Abdul Rahman (1998).
• The exposure of the sample to the abuse was within the average range.
• ranked first after neglect, as the most abuse of the sample of the study with an average of (4.03),followed by psychological abuse with an average of 3.42, followed by physical abuse with an average of 2.24, followed by sexual abuse with an average of 1.90. ranked first after behavioral problems, as the most behavioral and psychological problems experienced by the ninth grade students, with the highest average of 2.58. The study showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of abuse in the gender variable after neglect in favor of females. There were no statistically significant differences on the level of abuse in all dimensions. The study results showed that there was no statistically significant correlation between child abuse and behavioral and psychological problems in the study sample.
• The result of the analysis revealed a statistically significant effect of the child abuse variable in predicting behavioral and psychological problems.
