The present study aimed to identify the exam,anxiety and its relationship with self esteem among twelfth grade students at Sumail, sultanate of Oman. Moreover, it aimed to identify the differences in both test anxiety and self-esteem depending on the variables of sex and specialization. The researcher used the test anxiety scale used by Asma Hamrouch (2013), and a measure of self-esteem used by Ibraheem ALSaadat (2005). The study sample was chosen randomly and reached 300 students. Following the data collection and the appropriate statistical analyzed, the researcher has found the following results: The level of test anxiety among twelfth grade students at Sumail was average, which constitute 60% of students; while the level of self estimate was high and constitute 73%. Thus, an opposite relation of high statistically significant was found between test anxiety and self-esteem. There are no significant differences in the
statistics of the scale test anxiety and self-esteem due to the differences of gender. Whereas , significant differences were found in the statistics of the performance of the study sample on a scale test anxiety due to the variable specialization in favor of students who study scientific subjects. Moreover, there aren't any statistically significant differences between the averages of the performance of the study sample on a scale of self-esteem due to the variable of specialization.
