The study intended to track Oman's Political Situations during the period between (280-442 H/ 893-1050 AD), and to clarify the most significant political events that happened in Oman during that period. The study also studied the attitude of Ibadhi Imamate against those political events during the same period. In this study, the researcher depended on several references; some of them are Omani and some others are Islamic references, as well as some modern references and studies that had explored and discussed this issue. In addition, the researcher followed the descriptive analytic method to analyse the historical narratives. The study included the views of modern historians that investigated the political history of Oman during the period of this study (280-442 H / 893-1050 AD) and the important historical facts that resulted from those events.
The study is divided into an introduction, a preface and three chapters. The introduction discussed the importance of this study, the aims, thr problematic, the study approach, the study sections as well as the previous studies that share a strong and a direct relationship with this study. The Preface provided the readers with a general view of the political conditions in Oman at the third AH century / the ninth century. In fact, the first chapter discussed the political history of Oman during the independent Abbasids (280-316 H / 893-928 AD), while the second chapter clarified the Crimson-Boehi conflict (287-316 H / 900-928 AD) and finally the third chapter talked about the Boehi presence in Oman (356-442 H/967 1050 AD( .
Generally, this study concluded on many results, for example (not to limit), it pointed out that Oman was affected by the political events during the Abbasid caliphate, especially during its stages of weaknesses. As a result of that weakness, some different forces occurred, each of which wanted to expand at the expense of Abbasid caliphate. One of these forces was Qaramitah in Bahrain which had influenced and controlled large areas in Oman for a period of time. The study also showed that Qaramitah's campaigns differed in their nature and reasons; as money and booty were the main reasons of the first campaign, the goal of the following two campaigns was more strategic, aiming to have an economic control on the ways of trade in the Arabian Gulf. Furthermore, the study clarified the political status of weakness that Boehis had at their last reign, and how that weakness reflected on their presence and influence in Oman as the conflict between Bani Makram family members raised over power and control in Oman, which led to the emergence of the Imamate role in the interior of Oman, and then the Imamate succeeded to expel the Boehis outside Oman in (442 H/1050 AD).
