الملخص الإنجليزي
This study aimed to determine the degree of school principals' practice of Halpin theory and its relationship to work stress among teachers in the South Al Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, and to identify the extent of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α<0.05) in the responses of the members of the study sample due to gender variables, named Career, academic qualification, total years of experience, and determining the correlation between the degree of school principals' practice of Halpin theory and the level of work pressure facing teachers, and to achieve these goals the descriptive approach was used, and the questionnaire was used to collect the data necessary for the field study, where It was applied to the study sample, which consisted of (258) individuals, from the principals and principals of schools and the first teachers and teachers in the Al-Batinah South Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman for the academic year 2019/2020 AD.
The study reached a set of results, namel:
- The degree of school principals' practice of Halpin theory is high, as the general average for this field (4.11), the mean for the work dimension (4.21), while the mean for the legal dimension (4.01).
- There were statistically significant differences attributable to gender on the study sample estimates of the degree of school principals practicing the Halpin theory in (the legal) dimension, in favor of (females).
- There were statistically significant differences attributable to the job title on the estimates of the study sample individuals to the degree of school principals practicing the Halpin theory in (the legal) dimension, in favor of (the first teachers).
- There were statistically significant differences attributable to the educational qualification on the study sample estimates of the degree of school principals practicing the Halpin theory in both dimensions (work, legal).
- There are statistically significant differences attributable to years of experience on the study sample estimates of the degree of school principals' practice of Halpin theory in (the legal) dimension.
- The results showed that the level of work pressure facing teachers in the South Al Batinah Governorate came at an average level, as the general average reached (3.29), and that most of these pressures were related to the field (material conditions of work), as its arithmetic average reached (3.66), while it came less These pressures are those related to the field (role struggle), with an average score of 2.82.
- Pearson correlation coefficient indicated a negative correlation between the degree of school principals' dimension of (work) from Halpin theory, and the level of work pressure facing teachers in the Al-Batinah South Governorate in all areas of work stress (role burden, role ambiguity, role conflict, Physical conditions).
- There is a positive correlation between the degree of school principals' (legal) dimension of Halpin theory, and the level of work pressure facing teachers in South Al-Batinah governorate in the (burden of role) field.
- The existence of a negative correlation, correlation between the degree of school principals' (legal) dimension of Halpin theory, and the level of work pressure facing teachers in the Al-Batinah Governorate in the field of (ambiguity of the role).
- The absence of a correlation between the degree of school principals' having a (legal) dimension of Halpin theory, and the level of work pressure facing teachers in the
Al-Batinah South Governorate in the areas of (conflict of the role, and physical conditions of the role).
Based on the results of this study, the researcher developed a number recommendations that emphasized the necessity of diversifying the methods of strengthening teachers, the contribution of school principals in developing teachers professionally, and providing solutions to the professional challenges facing them.
