الملخص الإنجليزي
The objective of this study is to surf in the ocean of the Poet Humaid Ibn Ruzaiq by fording in his collection of poems or divan "Frand-ul-Juman" that nobody yet has ever came across it. The study is further aimed toward producing this divan in an integral manner and introducing it to the readers as the author of divan would have desired. In addition to contributing in flourishing Omani literature in general and the poet's heritage in particular, this study is considered as a general contribution and addition to the Arabic literature as a whole. In this study, I have divided the subject into two parts.
In the first part, I have elaborated briefly on the life of the poet, his family, and his scientific approach. Also, I have added some description of his writings in order to clarify the status of the poet and the value of the person, which are witnesses to his legacy and personal creative.
In the second part, I have included the investigation on the Matan (manuscripts), which was found from the divan. Hence, the following procedures had been followed:
• Provide reading poetry as defined by the author.
• Proofing manuscripts and correction.
• Introducing numbers for poems and verses.
• Explanation to the difference between copies of the poems.
Explaining the vocabulary that is needed to be understood by the
reader.
• Putting vowel points on words.
• Provide a brief extract about places and personelle.
• Indicating to any reference in the Matan quotations from the holy Quran, if any.
