The study aimed to show teachers' points of views on the reality of using social media in teaching Arabic language to non- Arabic native speakers from the teachers' perspective in the Sultanate of Oman. The study's community represents all Arabic language teachers of other languages' speakers in private educational institutions such as centers, institutes and colleges in the Sultanate of Oman. According to the statistics conducted by the researcher through his personal communication with those institutions in the academic year 2019/ 2020, the number of teachers in the study community was about 56 teachers both males and females. The study sample consisted of 54 males and females teachers from 12/20/2019 to 29/1/2020.
In addition, In order to achieve the study aims, the researcher got insight into the educational literatures and references related to teaching Arabic language to non- Arabic native speakers, used a descriptive analytical method as a method for his study, used a questionnaire as a tool for it, took its amendments and measured its validity and consistency all the way to the statistical methods used in processing its data and analyzing its results which found that Whats App is the most usable social media in the sample study accounts to the members of the study sample in teaching. The study also showed a high degree of appreciation in the attitudes of Arabic language teachers to non- Arabic native speakers towards the use of social media in teaching Arabic here in the Sultanate of Oman, and with a medium degree in the extent of using social media in the teaching processes; in the planning, presenting and evaluating levels.
The study did not show any statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample estimation about the reality of social media employment in teaching Arabic to non- Arabic native speakers in the Sultanate of Oman due to gender variable, practical qualification and experience. While it showed statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the averages of the study sample estimation due to the age variable in favor of the study sample with the age group (less than 25 years).
Based on the study results, the research presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which were: developing the skills that accompany the communications revolution among the faculty members working in educational institutions interested in teaching the Arabic language to non- Arabic native speakers in the Sultanate of Oman, through holding training courses, workshops and seminars to use Social media in teaching.
