This study aims at proving that the purpose of the provisions of intonation (Tajweed) is not limited to improving pronunciation and performance, as it has different denotations. Onc of them is psychological denotation that targets readers' conscience and affects their emotions. This study examines the psychological denotation of the provisions of intonation and describes its different types as means of proof not limitation or induction by answering the following questions: I. Are provisions of intonation part of the phonological level in order to study its denotations? 2. Is psychological denotation part of the denotations of the provisions of intonation? 3. Does psychological denotation have different shapes and forms? To answer these questions proceeding from the fact that Arabic is the language of Quran and the provisions of intonation are one of its sciences. The researcher establishes the origin of psychological denotation in all aspects of Arabic language in general and the phonological level in particular. Then she establishes the origin of psychological denotation in the phonological level of the Holy Quran in general. Then she explains the boundaries of the phonological levels in the Arabic language and The Holy Quran and emphasizes that the provisions of intonation are phonological phenomena that follows the linguistic level in general and the Quranic level in particular. This allows for the possibility of examining the psychological denotations of the provisions of intonation in comparison to the ability to study the psychological denotations of phonological and The Quranic levels after illustrating each of them. This forms the base from which the researcher proceeds to the analytical aspect of the study. She gathers many Quranic illustrations from Quranic and linguistic publications on the phonological denotation of some of the provisions of intonation. She analyzes them by explaining the denotation of the Quranic context. Then she explains the psychological denotation of each of the provisions of intonation separately, and reveals the mechanisms of performance and phonology in establishing psychological denotation. Some of the most prominent findings are: 1. Psychological denotation is one of the denotations of the provisions of intonation, 2. Psychological denotation is derived from the provisions of intonation by making abstract meaning sensational through audio representation and practical simulation, which makes it more effective. 3. Psychological denotation of the provisions of intonation is consistent with the psychological denotation of the contextual meaning of Quranic verses, affirming their meanings mostly and adding more denotations sometimes. 4. In most of the illustrations, the psychological denotation affects the recipient directly. In many of the illustrations, psychological denotation expresses the feeling of those mentioned in Quranic verses then affects recipients respectively, 5. Psychological denotations of the provisions of intonations are divided into 23 types such as desire, fear, dread, repulsion, serenity, longing, magnifying, love, aspiration, grief, regret, happiness and cordiality. 6.
