The study based on two main methods:
1. a questioner: to know non-native Arabic speakers views about degrees of difficulties they are facing to master the skills of writing and speaking in Arabic.
2. a measure of tendency: this measure aims to know why the learners choose to learn Arabic in particular?
The sample of this study consists of 34 multinational learners from non-native Arabic speakers from both sex (female/ male). Those learners are studying advance Arabic level at different centers in Oman.
The result of the study revealed that the level of difficulty in both writing and speaking are the same (medium level of difficulty in both writing and speaking). It also reveals no significant statistics shows that these difficulties is due to factors such as: sex difference, learning institution or nationality. However, a significant statistic results appeared in the questioner in these two categories (learners motives behind learning Arabic and the methods which were used in studying Arabic. In first category (motives behind learning Arabic): (among Sultan collage, Center of International Studies, Lughati - my language institute) the result was in favor of sultan collage with more positive feedback. In the second category (learning methods used in learning Arabic): (among Sultan collage, center of international studies, Arabic experience institute) the result was again in favor to Sultan collage. In measuring tendencies of learners between Center of International Studies, Aldad institute and Arabic experience institute the result was in favor of Aldad institute.
After analyzing the study results the researcher provided a number of recommendations such as: the importance of integrating the learners with the local community. This can be done by introducing the idea of family hostels in Oman. This method will give the learner an insight of how using Arabic language in the right context and it also will introduce the learner to a different Omani cultures. On the other hand, teachers will also benefit from this approach by designing methods based on exercises more related to reality and the everyday using of Arabic language.
