This study aimed at identifying the degree of availability of job security for teachers in private schools in the Sultanate of Oman and detecting the impact of some demographic variables, such as gender and nationality. To measure all this, a questionnaire was constructed containing four dimensions (security related to continuity in the job, security related to changes in the job, security related to employee care, and security related to economic needs). Questionnaires were distributed to a sample of (324) teachers in private schools n the Sultanate of Oman. The study concluded that the degree of availability of job security ranges from medium to high in the study axes, ascending as follows: the "security related to economic needs" axis, the "security related to changes in the job" axis, the "security related to continuity in the job" axis, and the "security related to employee care" axis. The study detected the existence of statistically significant differences at (a < 0.05) level of significance in the "gender" variable in study respondents' estimations of the level of availability of job security in two axes, security related to employee care and security related to continuity in the job, in the favor of females. The study also detected the existence of statistically significant differences at (a < 0.05) level of significance in the "nationality" variable in study respondents' estimations of the level of availability of job security in two axes, security related to changes in the job, and security related to the care of the employee for the favor of Omanis.
