This study aimed to highlight the Al-Awtabi approach to solving the contradiction
between the hadiths that seem to be having contradiction, and to explain the methods and
paths used in his approach.
The structure of this study included an introduction, a preface, three chapters and a
conclusion. The introduction was a summary of the research plan and also included the
research problem, its limits, its importance, aims and overall plan.
The preface consists of two sections, the first section dealt with a brief description
about Shaikh Al-Awtibi and an overview of some of his hadith sciences. The second
section dealt with the topic of various hadiths in general in terms of their definition and
different ways of how scholars dealt with the conflict of various hadiths.
The first chapter explored Al-Utbi's approach on combining conflicting hadiths. It
was important research as it contained the way he approached explaining the most
important aspect used in it.
As for the second chapter, it explained the Al-Awtbi approach on clarification
between the conflicted hadiths and showed the important aspects he used in this
clarification.
The third and final chapter showed the ways of copying and stopping Al-Awtbi's
approach, the first topic indicated the method used in copying, while the second topic
indicated the method of Al-Awtbi in stopping.
In the conclusion of this research, I mentioned the most important results and
recommendations of the study. The most important results and recommendations are Al Awtbi expanded his way of collecting and he was diligent in including all evidence without
neglecting anything. He used his ingenuity and experience in language cleverly in
clarifying the conflicts in hadiths. As for the recommendations, they were mentioned on
the conclusion.
