الملخص الإنجليزي
This study aimed to address the subject of "Dialogue in Omani novels"
through four novels: "ALWAKHIZ" to Hussain Al-Abri, "HAMS AL
JOSOOR" to Ali Al-Ma'mari, "ALASHYA LAISAT FI AMAKINIHA❞ to
Huda Al-Jahwari and "SAYEDAT AL QAMAR" to Jokha Al-Harthi. The
selection of these novels was commensurate with the subject of the study
without denying the presence of a large number of novels under this matter. Dialogue is considered to be a significant narrative element in novels beside the other elements; it attracts the reader's attention to the characters and the events of novels.
This study is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with the
definition of "Dialogue" and "Dialogism" while the second chapter discussed the types of dialogue and its language. The third chapter addressed the relationship between dialogue and the narrative elements like the novelist, characters, events and description.
At the end, the results and recommendations were spotted in the conclusion hoping that they help in further studies about Omani novels. I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to all those helped me accomplish this study.
