الملخص الإنجليزي
The study aimed to examine the relationship between social anxiety and self-efficacy, for twelfth grade students, the sample consisted of (224) male and female students. The researcher used the correlational descriptive approach. The data were collected using two tools: the first is the Self-Efficiency Scale of Skur Tzar, and Gershalim (Schwarzer & Jerusalem).
Radwan (1997), and the Radwan Social Anxiety Scale (2001), the study showed the presence of moderate levels in the scale of self-efficacy, as well as social anxiety among the sample members, and the study also showed the existence of an inverse statistically significant correlation between social anxiety and self-efficacy among the sample members. This means that anxiety can be predicted about the level of self-efficacy and vice versa, as it can be said that a decrease in the level of social anxiety by one degree is accompanied by an increase in self-efficacy by (0.621).
The study also revealed differences in self-efficacy, attributed to the gender variable in favor of females, as females enjoy a better level of self-efficacy than males, and the study showed that there are differences in social anxiety attributed to the gender variable in favor of males. Key words: self-efficacy, social anxiety.
