The study aimed to verify the impact of a training program in improving the
teaching skills of teachers of students with learning disabilities (LD). In this
study the quasi-experiments method was used. The sample contained of 30
teachers in basic education schools in the South Al Batinah Governorate,
Oman. The sample was distributed equally to a control and experimental
group, and each group had 15 teachers, where the distribution was random.
To achieve the research objectives. A training program and teaching skills
scale were developed, the teachers of the two groups responded to the scale
twice (before and after applying the training program). The experimental group
parameters were enrolled in a STEM-integrated training program while the
control group parameters were not enrolled in this program. The results
indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the mean
of the two groups on the post-teaching skills scale in favor of the experimental
group application of the scale of teaching skills for the benefit of the
ه
experimental group and between the pre and post application of the
parameters of the experimental group in favor of the post application, which
is attributable to the impact of the training program. The results also indicated
that there were no statistically significant differences related to the variables
of the educational qualification and the teaching experience of the
experimental group teachers
