This study aimed to identify the degree of availability of the dimensions of excellence management among the principals of basic education schools and its relationship to the organizational citizenship behavior of teachers in the North Al-Batinah Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman in light of some international models. Applying it to a sample of (420) male and female teachers.
The results of the study concluded that the degree of availability of the dimensions of management of excellence among the principals of basic education schools in the Governorate of North Al-Batinah in the Sultanate of Oman in light of some global models was large, and that the degree of availability of dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior among teachers of basic education schools in the Governorate of North Al-Batinah was great.
The results of the study also revealed the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) to the degree of availability of the dimensions of excellence management among the principals of basic education schools in North Al-Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman due to the gender variable in all dimensions of the study tool and in favor of females, while there were no differences. Statistical significance for the variables of experience, academic qualification, and job title, the study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤0.05) to the degree of availability of the dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior in the gender variable in the dimensions of altruism and civility, while significant differences were found in the rest of the dimensions And in favor of females, as well as there were no significant differences in the qualification variable except for the cultural behavior dimension and in favor of the bachelor as shown.
In light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, the most prominent of which are: Developing the foundations of the process of evaluating managers in light of the relationship to the availability of the dimensions of excellence management and organizational citizenship behavior, and focusing on the dimension of operations management of school principals as it is the most powerful variables in the management of excellence in the prediction of organizational citizenship behavior Training programs, workshops, and material and moral incentives for school principals in order to develop their performance in the practice of managing excellence, encourage school personnel to practice organizational citizenship behavior, and the need for administrative supervisors to pay attention to the indicators of implementing excellence in basic education schools when evaluating the performance of school principals.
