This study is aimed to identify the attitudes of teaching Arabic language to those non Arabic language speakers who are studding Arabic Language in Sultanate of Oman, in addition to investigate the differences between those teachers regarding there: Gender and experience.
The sample of the study consists of 39 Arabic language teachers (Male & Female) who are teaching Arabic language to those non-Arabic language speakers, the study sample have been selected intentionally.
The study follows the descriptive and analytical methodology. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire relying on relevant studies and literature. The instrument of the study was a questionnaire contained of 63 sentences and divided into four aspects: functional, continuity, integrative and skillfulness teaching approaches. The data has been analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
The study reached the following findings:
1- The current study found that the total levels of all aspects of the instrument is
between very big and big. As the grades of the aspects are very big in the integrative, continuity and skillfulness trends, where big in functional trend.
2- There are no statistical significance differences at (a <0.05) among the
individuals of the study in their educational teaching attitudes for Arabic language non speakers depending on gender in among two teaching attitudes: functional and communicative attitudes, while the findings show differences with statistical significance by Arabic teachers for non-Arabic language speakers in integrative and skillfulness teaching attitudes for the favor of females.
3- There are no statistical significance differences at the level (a < 0.05) among the
study sample in their educational teaching attitudes for Arabic language non speakers in terms of: functional, continuity, integrative and skillfulness trends which are attributed to the teaching experience.
At the end the study presents a group of recommendation, mainly: Employing the integrative teaching attitudes for Arabic language non speakers and to adopt it in Sultanate of Oman.
