This study aimed to reveal the social competence level of students enrolled and unenrolled in learning disabilities program (LDP) in the South Eastern Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of (840) male and female students, 426 of them enrolled on LDP, and 414 enrolled on the regular class. To achieve the objectives of the study, teachers of the LDP and general education responded to the social competence scale (Al-Hebrew, 2017). The results indicated that students of learning disabilities enrolled on the regular class enjoy a high level of social competence, meanwhile the students enrolled on the LDP enjoy a moderat level of social competence. Also, there were statistically significant differences in the social competence level for the female students enrolled on LDP, meanwhile these differences were for the male students enrolled on the regular class of school adaptation domain. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of social competence among the students enrolled and unenrolled in L.D.P according to school cycle. These differences attributed to the students of the second and continuing cycle. Also, the results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the level of social competence among enrolled and unenrolled on LDP according to the type of learning difficulty. These differences attributed to the students with reading and mathematics learning disabilities .The study recommended suggesting activities aiming at raising the social competence level among pupils of learning difficulties for both enrolled and unenrolled on the learning difficulties program.The study recommended introducing activities aimed at improving the level of social competence among students with learning disabilities who were enrolled and unenrolled in LDP.
