This study aims to identify the health-related lifestyle in adult diabetics in Oman and the differences between them according to gender, type of chronic disease, age, level of education, as well as the degree of exercise of physical activity and if there are differences in the level of lifestyle accordingly. A scale was applied by the researcher on a sample of 159 from adults diabetic patients who are over 18 years old from the National Center for Treatment of Diabetes and Endocrine Disorders. The data of the demographic sample were collected as well as the results of the medical tests for body mass index (BMI), glycated hemoglobin (HbAlc), the level of blood pressure (BP), and the level of high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL), in addition to obtaining information by the method of self-report related to the type, duration, intensity, and frequency of exercise
This study found that the members of the study sample follow a healthy lifestyle in general (3.81: 0.46). This study also found that female was following a pattern of health compared to male. Moreover, it found that those with type 2 diabetes (insulin dependent) had a pattern of health compared with those of type 2. It was also found that the age group (18-29) was following a pattern of health compared with other groups. Also it found that the most active athletes are more committed to the health-related lifestyle than non-active athletes. This study recommended similar studies for type 1 diabetes under 18 years old.
