The study aimed to identify the attitudes of Islamic education teachers towards distance education during Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) in Al-Batinah South Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher adopted the descriptive approach. To achieve the aims of the study, the researcher prepared an attitude scale that included (26) statements, divided into three areas related to the attitudes of Islamic education teachers towards distance education in light of the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) for the teacher and the learner, and the impact of distance education on the educational process. After being checked for validity and stability, the study tool was to a sample of (189) male and female teachers of Islamic education in cycle tow of basic education and post-basic education for the year 2021/2020.They were chosen by the simple random method, with a percentage of approximately (40.5%) of the study community.
After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed the data statistically using the (SPSS) program, and reached several results: The attitudes of Islamic education teachers towards distance education during the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) in Al Batinah South Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman are in general positive. Also, there are no statistically significant differences at the mean level (0.05) between the averages of the responses of the study sample individuals which is attributed to the variable of (gender, years of experience, courses attended by the teacher, and academic qualification).
According to the results of the study, it recommends holding continuous educational workshops for Islamic education teachers on how to develop student-teacher interaction in distance education and designing some Islamic education lessons to be taught in distance education system after the end of the Corona pandemic (covid-19).
