The purpose of this study is to identify effective teaching skills in speaking in institutions of teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers in sultanate of Oman from the point of view of 25 teachers were chosen purposive sample which is around 100% of the statistical population. A descriptive approach was used through a questionnaire to achieve the objective of the study. It consisted of 23 parts divided into five dimensions such as lesson planning skill, subject selection skills, speaking skills and communication skills. It's validity and consistency have been verified.
The study results as follow:
1. Communication skills are the most effective teaching skills in teaching the skill of speaking in the institutions of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in the Sultanate of Oman from the teachers' point of view. It is followed by the skill of talking about the subject elements, then subject selection skills, while determining subject elements is the least effective skills.
2.There are no significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α≤0.05) based on variables such as gender type, educational level, qualification, experience and educational institution in all the effective educational skills in teaching the skills of speaking in the institutions of teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers.
According to the results of the study, the researcher recommended activating the educational skills in teaching the conversation, taking into account the levels of the students when choosing the skill of education, with emphasis on teaching the skills of speaking in the lower basic stage, in addition to organizing language activities, workshops, training courses, forums, conferences and so on. The teacher should take into account the importance of the oral language in teaching the speaking skill.
