This study seeks to read prose texts that have a formalization in the political tradition. The texts are the Prophetic and political treaties which have been given a textual reading in the light of the seven standards of textuality set by the prominent linguistist "Robert De Beaugrande". The standards are used to justify if the text is communicative one or not, and the attention will be on coherence and cohesion standards. Cohesion represents the ways to achieve structural linking in the text like reference, relation and omission. Coherence represents the ways to achieve semantic linking like semantic relation between the parts of structure contextuality.
The researcher divides the study into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The introduction talks bout the Prophetic and political treaties (definitionally, historically, statically and linguistically). It also clarifies the reasons behind choosing Al Hudiabia and Thaqeef treaties for analysis. Chapter one is about the theoretical framework of the study, and it talks about the text and text Grammatik in terms of definition and history. Moreover, the chapter talks about the appearance of Text Grammar and its relation to other touching disciplines like psychology, sociology and communication. The chapter also turns to focus on cohesion and coherence since they are the center of the study. At the end, the researcher tries to divide some parts of the studied texts to its textual structure defined by text scholars such as superstructure, Macrostructure and Microstructure. This is made to have a deep and accurate analysis followed by clarification of the features in these treaties.
Regarding the aspects of application researcher talks in the second chapter about the ways to achieve structural linking in the text. He divides it into three types of linking grammatically, lexically and phonetically. In each type, there are several sub-linking.
Then the researcher turn to the ways of achieving semantic linking in the text. Since there is no total agreement about the ways of coherence like in how it is in cohesion, the researcher seeks to gather several ways by which they enable the analyzer to achieve the elements of coherence in the texts. He also tries to let these elements turns to focus on the net of semantic relationship in a single textual structure, and in a big textual structure. At the conclusion, the researcher presents the most important findings and recommendations.
