The aim of the present study is to investigate the study habits that the universities' students in Sultanate of Oman are practicing, and to investigate their relationship with some variables (Gender, Academic year, Stream, and University type )..
(400) students were selected from university of Nizwa, and Sultan Qaboos university. The study habits, of university students, of (84) items were worded, which distributes to (6) field namely: organizing the time and the place of study, willingness to study, attention in the class and taking notes, preparation of lessons and homework, style of studying, and readiness for examination. Validity index of the inventory was established using two methods. For validity judgment's method was used, and the construct validity on a random sample of (40) students, and ranging between (0.806 - 0.636) for the six fields. Reliability index
of Chronbach -Alpha of (0.937) were estimated for the inventory, and for their fields (0.724–0.621).
Data of this study were extracted by the SPSS package, using different statistical methods. Results of the study revealed the following:-
1. To answer the first question of the study, means and the standard deviations of students total scores were estimated to identify the practiced study habits, results revealed that the most study habits which practiced by Universities' students were those related to: desire to study, style of study, attention in class and

writing notes, readiness for exams, time management and place of study, and preparation of lessons and homework. The results also revealed an approximation in general in the mean of students' scores in all six areas of the inventory.
2. To answer (2-5) question, the Point Biserial correlation coefficient was calculated to identify the relation between student's study habits and some variables. Result revealed that there is a significant statistical correlation between university student's study habits and some variables of gender (male- female),in favor of females, and university type (Public-Private), in favor of Private university, while no significant correlation was founded between student's study habits and variables of stream (Science-Arts), and academic year (First-forth)
3. To answer the sixth question of the study, Stepwise Multiple Regression Coefficient is used. the result shows that university type and the Gender were affecting study habits, while there is no relationship between the students study habits and variables of stream, and academic year.
Recommendations and suggestions for future studies were formulated for this study according to the results of this study.
