The study seeks to achieve the following goals :
- Learn the extent to which public institutions adopt information
technology .
- Learn the skills of workers in the e-government in public institutions
in the Sultanate of Oman.
- Knowing the compatibility of workers skills with information
technology in public institutions in the Sultanate of Oman .
- Determine the impact of e-government on developing job
performance .
- Reaching results and recommendations that contribute to developing
job performance
The researcher adopted the descriptive approach and the analytical
approach, whereby the descriptive approach was used to describe the
dimensions of the independent study variables and the dependent
variable in the Ministry of the study sector.
The analytical method to determine the impact of e-government on
developing job performance in the Ministry of Housing in the Sultanate of
Oman .
The study population included workers in the Ministry of Housing in
the Sultanate of Oman according to personal and organizational variables
in terms of gender (female - male), career level (upper and middle
departments - executive management), and educational qualification
(undergraduate - university - postgraduate), and the reason for the
researcher's choice of society The study because of its great importance in
the subject of the study, and the close relationship that connects the
researcher with the study population .
The population of workers in the Ministry of Housing in the Sultanate of
Oman represents a relatively large community of more than 5,000
employees. By applying the formula, the sample size yields 357 singles.
Summary of results related to the effect of using e-government on
developing job performance:

-The results of the study indicated that the use of e-government plays an
important and influential role in the process of developing job
performance in the Ministry of Housing in the Sultanate of Oman.
-The study showed that the Ministry of Housing is characterized by its
efficient use of its resources .
- The study concluded that the Ministry's communications network
will be available. Smooth and easy communication between
employees and different departments.
- -The information provided by the electronic programs is
characterized by a high degree of detail that is required by the
departments of the ministry and the various administrative levels at
all times .
- -The results of the study showed that the use of e-government,
especially the organization of the Ministry of Housing training
courses for workers as one of the elements of the application of
information systems plays an important and influential role in the
process of developing job performance in the Ministry of Housing in
the Sultanate of Oman.
The most important recommendations were:
- Ensure that communication via the Internet is carried out through
clear, easy and fast foundations, which enhances its use of e government and achieves optimal development of job performance
- Ensure that the Ministry's communication network is available.
Smooth and easy communication between workers and different
departments, which enhances the use of e-government and
achieves optimal development of job performance
- Ensure that the electronic programs used provide the necessary
information always without deficiency, which enhances the use of
e-government and achieves optimal development of job
performance
- Ensure that information systems programs provide census and
statistics, which enhances the use of e-government and achieves
optimal development of job performance.
