This study titled "Derivation of the Jabali language in comparison to pure literary Arabic" endeavors to characterize the Jabali language, as one of the living southern Arabic languages still widely spoken in the three Dhofar regions: Samhan, AL-Qara, and AL-Qamar and some coastal and desert areas.
This study is established on an introduction and a forward that paves the way for three chapters and a conclusion. The most attractive thing about the forward is the discussion about the Jabali language, from which the names and characteristics are associated with its southern origins, geographic location, and various Semitic languages, and its appearance in ancient as well as modern sources and even down to determining the location of dialects, the language customs that cause its advent as a tongue, and concluding with its relationship to literary Arabic. Then, the first chapter the document dealt with two studies: First of all it addresses commonly shared sounds in the Jabali language and literary Arabic. It also discusses the sounds unique to the Jibali language and its distinct codes. Then the letter spoke of current Jabali language sounds even to the structure from which the Jabali language is assembled. However the second study deals with a number of distinct morphological topics including both nouns and verbs, such as a noun in terms of gender (male or female) and in terms of number (singular, dual, and plural, and irregular), names of numbers, comparisons and diminutive, and ending with the qualitative verb, correctness and incorrectness, and as required transitive, knowledge and ignorance, abstract and more. And a concluding reference to verbs in many situations and discreet pronouns, and within the second chapter is a discussion about names (nouns) found in the Jabali language and among them are: Verbs, nouns, and written characters whereas included in the third chapter are the derivation of Jabali language verbs from: Verbs, and nouns, and written characters or sounds to complete them to the most important result.
