The study aimed at knowing the effectiveness of the four pillars strategy in enhancing
the values of citizenship in Social Studies among Tenth Grade students in South Al Sharqiya
Governorate in Sultanate of Oman. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach,
where the sample consisted of (50) students from the tenth grade from Sultan Qaboos School
for Basic Education (9-10) in the South Sharqiah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The
sample was divided into two groups: the experimental group consisted of (25) students who
studied using the four pillars strategy, while the control group consisted of (25) students who
studied the traditional method, and the equivalence of the two groups was verified through the
pre-application of testing the extension of Islam and building its civilization using the pillars
strategy the four.
The researcher used data collection using the four pillars strategy test after analyzing
the content of the third unit (the extension of Islam and building its civilization) it composed
of 20 words.its validity was confirmed by its stability using the person equation, the t-test was
used for statistical analysis and comprasion between the two study groups.
The results of the study showed that were no statically significant differences at the
level (α= 0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the control and experimental groups in the pre-application of the citizenship enhancement test, and there statically
significant differences at the level (a = 0.05) between the average scores of the students of the
control and experimental groups in the remote application, and there were In favor of the
experimental group for the test of enhancing citizenship values due to the use of four pillars
strategy, and there statically significant differences at the level (a = 0.05) between the pre and
post tests for the experimental group. In light of these results, The researcher recommended
the necessity of paying attention to the development of citizenship values using the strategy of
four pillars of the students.
