The current study aimed to identify the degree of principals' practice of the dimensions of Transactional leadership and their relationship to the level of organizational commitment of teachers in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive correlative method, and the questionnaire was used to collect data and information, and it was applied to a sample of (369) male and female teachers.
The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The degree of Transactional leadership of principals of basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman of the dimensions of Transactional leadership was generally high, It also came high in the dimensions of conditional reward and management with active exception, while it came moderate in the dimension of management with exception passive. and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) between the average estimates of the study sample of teachers to the degree to which principals of basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman practice Transactional leadership due to the variables of gender, scientific qualification, and years of experience, but these differences were found in the variable of job title and in favor of the category of teachers.
The results also revealed that the level of organizational commitment among teachers of basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was generally high, It also came high in all dimensions: normative, emotional, and continuity commitment, and the results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the responses of the study sample of teachers to the level of their commitment to schools Basic education in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman attributed to the variables of gender, scientific qualification, years of experience, and job title; In addition to the above, the results of the study revealed the existence of a positive and statistically significant correlation at the level (0.01) between all dimensions of the Transactional leadership of school principals and the dimensions of the level of organizational commitment of teachers in basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.
