This study dealt with the scope of international intervention for humanitarian considerations and its development throughout history at various stages.
The study showed that following the collapse of the Soviet Union and the demise of the bipolar, the principle of non-intervention through the policies of the major powers were systematically undermined, while attempting to establish the principle of humanitarian intervention as a new principle in international relations through international practice.
The study exhibited the application to cases like (Iraq, Somalia, Rwanda, former Yugoslavia, Libya, Ivory Coast, Syria).
The research concluded that political considerations are the main drive of international humanitarian intervention, led by major powers, under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
