Abstract
Al-farsi, Bader. Status of Learning Resources Centers at the Basic
Schools in A'Dhahira Region in Sultanate of Oman from Teachers
Point of Views. Master Study, Yarmouk University, 2008.

This study aimed to identify the status of learning resources centers at
the basic education schools in A'Dhahira Region in the Sultanate of Oman
from teachers Point of Views in terms of availability and use of
educational materials and devices, and the degree of achievement of the
objectives of learning resources centers, services provided by the centers
and their teacher satisfaction, as Aimed at identifying the obstacles that
limit the use of teachers to those centers. To answer the questions for this
study the researcher create a questionnaire consisted (96) items and
verification of sincerity and persistence. The study sample consisted of
(218) males and females from teachers.
The results of the study showed the devices of educational materials
were highly available, with the exception of some educational materials
and equipment and the most important is Internet. And the degree of
using educational devices were high. Also the degree of achieving the
desired objectives of the use of learning resources centers were high, the
services provided by learning resource centers were intermediate. And the
degree of satisfaction for services provided by learning resource centers
high degree. There are a number of constraints limiting teachers to use
learning resources centers, including: a shortage of organs compared with
the large number of educational classrooms and the school of multiple,
non-availability of Internet technology, and a shortage of computers connected to the Internet at the school, and a place in the difficult access
by students and teachers. There is no statistical significant differences
were found at (a = 0.05) among teachers for using learning resources
centers for the impact of sex and specialization.
In the light of the results of the study researcher recommended a series
of recommendations.
