This study aimed to reveal the relationship traumatic experiences and its relationship to personality traits and social support for workers in emergency department and intensive care unit in Muscat governorate hospitals in Sultanate of Oman, in variables of (gender, status, experience, occupation, department, place of live and nationality). The sample of study consist of (174) consist of (54) doctors and (120) nurses. The researcher adopted the correlational descriptive methodology. The results indicated that the level of traumatic experiences was at low level with a percentage (48%). Also, results scale of personality traits that alertness of consciousness trait was the highest and the least was neuroticism trait. Moreover, results scale of social support was at high level with a percentage (70%) and that social support from family are the most common among the study sample and social support from administration was the lowest. The result also indicated there was no correlation between traumatic experiences, personality traits and social support in variables (experience, department and place of live), and there was correlation on variable sex in personality traits for neuroticism traits for female compare with men, on variable social status in personality traits for agreeableness traits for married compare with single, on occupation in personality traits for agreeableness for nurses, on nationality in traumatic experiences was higher in Omani healthcare compare with not Omani. We can predict traumatic experiences throw personality traits and social support.
