This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of training programme which
depends on the theory of innovative problem solving (TRIZ) in developing future
thinking skills for grade ten female students in Sultanate of Oman. To achieve this aim,
the researcher used the quasi-experimental method. The study sample was consisted of
(64) female students which were devided into two groups: expermintal (32) and
controlled (32). The researcher used to think skills test as study tool and the training
programme based on (TRIZ) and future. The pre-test was implemented to both groups,
the training program was conducted for the experimental sample, and finally the posttest was implemented to both groups.
The result & recommendation of the study: There is a statistically significant
effect at the level (P=0.05) of the recommended training program on developing future
thinking skills of grade ten female students. Considering the research findings, it is
recommended to include the future thinking skills in the school curricula, develop
students’ ability to solve various problems by implementing the forty TRIZ strategies in
different classroom situations, and reuse the study tools in other similar studies.
