This study discusses the effect of Ottoman regulations on
administrative status in Al Hegaz State during the period 1255-1293AH/
1839-1876 AD. The researcher adopted a historical, descriptive and
analytical approach to achieve the aims of his study through searching,
refining and analyzing historical facts by relying on Ottoman documents and
modern Arabic, Ottoman and foreign studies and sources.
The study included an introduction, five chapters and a conclusion.
The first chapter discussed the weakness, dissolution and the attempts to
reformation in the Ottoman Empire between 1566 and 1789 AD, while the
second chapter discussed the Ottomans' reformation efforts and the era of
Ottoman regulations in the period 1789-1876 AD/1255-1293AH. The third
chapter dealt with Al Hegaz State administrative body and divisions, and the
fourth chapter explored the administrative councils and civil administration in
the State. The fifth and last chapter discussed the military and security and
law enforcement forces administration.
The study indicated a number of results, the most prominent one is
that it revealed the regulation decrees and their affiliated laws administrative
effect in Al Hegaz State, and that included civil and military administration
aspects, which are health administration, finance administration, endowments
administration, education administration, judicial administration, military
administration, and security and law enforcement forces administration.
