The current study aimed to reveal the existence of a correlation between motivation and job
excellence for the employees of the Ministry of Social Development in the Sultanate of
Oman. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach to suit the objectives of the
study. The study sample included (513) employees who were chosen randomly, where this
sample constituted (20%) of the total population of the study, and the questionnaire consisted
of two axes: incentives (10) items, and job excellence (19), and its validity and stability were
confirmed. , where the Cron-Bach alpha coefficient was (0.944), and the arithmetic means,
standard deviations, analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to
answer the study questions.
The results showed that there is an effect of incentives (material and moral) in achieving job
excellence in the Ministry of Social Development in the Sultanate of Oman. and focus on
individuals) in the Ministry of Social Development in the Sultanate of Oman, but the moral
incentives have a greater impact than the material incentives, and the results showed that
there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance attributed to the
variables (sex, age and educational qualification), in contrast to two variables (practical
experience and type of job), the result indicated that there were no statistically significant
differences at the level of moral significance on the employees of the Ministry of Social
Development, and the study recommended supporting and strengthening work relations
(formal and informal) between employees and directing them in a manner consistent with the
objectives of the Ministry, and recommended the application of the principle of justice
Fairness in distributing incentives to employees and disbursing incentive bonuses to
them....etc.
