The leadership roles of managers are of great importance in the success of the organization's leadership, as it enables the administrative leader to influence his subordinates by direct their efforts and capabilities towards achieving the goals of the organization. This study seeks to know the impact of the three main leadership roles, namely: the leader's ability to persuade and motivate his followers and manage change at work with its relationship with job satisfaction for workers in government agencies in the Sultanate of Oman by taking the Ministry of Interior as a model. The study aims to examine the level of practice of key leadership roles by leaders in Omani governmental institutions, to determine the nature of the relationship between key leadership roles and employee satisfaction to reveal the reality of employee satisfaction in government agencies in order to develop the main leadership roles among officials in the government sector.
The importance of these main leadership roles is increasing due to the current economic conditions, which have cast a shadow on the general budget, so that the non-materialistic tools resulting from understanding the leadership roles has a significant and important impact on motivating employees. This study is considered important because it examines the main question represented by the impact of the main leadership roles on the job satisfaction of the employees working in the Ministry of Interior in the Sultanate of Oman. Based on the analytical descriptive approach, the study uses the questionnaire to gather data from a working sample consisting of 100 respondents from the research population. Gathered data has been analyzed using SPSS.
The study concluded several results, the most important of which is the existence of a correlation between the main leadership roles and the level of job satisfaction of employees in the Ministry of Interior. This result is attributed to the fact that the manager works to prevail in the spirit of cooperation at work and takes into account the capabilities of subordinates when he distributes responsibilities and takes the purposeful advice suggested by employees.
Among the most prominent recommendations and proposals that emerged from the study: The Ministry of Interior should adopt a policy of participation in decision-making, open communication channels with employee management, inform department heads of all developments in the field of leadership through courses and workshops, and provide them with leadership skills that enable them to make good use of leadership methods. appropriate, and the Ministry of Interior must increase attention and focus on subordinates’ satisfaction because of its relationship to achieving the employee’s requirements, which would raise his degree of satisfaction with his work, and the necessity of fairness in distributing benefits and incentives to employees. And consideration of leadership problems by those in charge of administrative sectors in order to improve and develop the ministry. The recommendations also stated that it is necessary to create a career ladder and impose promotion for the distinguished, and to conduct a study of the variables of leadership styles and job satisfaction in government institutions, and a comparative study of the factors affecting job satisfaction.
