This scheme aims to identify the lean management to improve the quality of the work environment in the Royal Hospital in the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman. Where the concepts of Lean management are known in terms of historical development and the principles advocated by the basic requirements that are available in the application of Lean in the hospital. Also, Identify the tools to be used in lean management. In other way, identifying the concepts of work quality, its importance and objectives. Also, identifying the impact of lean management in terms of (work organization or (5S), improving continuous work, standard work,) in improving the quality of the work environment through (stability and job security, employee participation, social relations, working conditions physical and mental work environment).On the one hand, identifying the challenges facing institutions in applying lean management and the quality of the work environment.
The researcher based her study on the descriptive approach, and to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire tool was used, and the study sample consisted of (143) employees of government hospitals in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
The results of the study showed the following:
The results generally indicate that government hospitals in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate of the Sultanate of Oman apply lean management principles, where continuous improvement, work organization, and standard work are applied at a high level, as indicated by the participants.
