The study aims to find out the degree of employing management information systems among school principals of the second cycle of basic education in the Al Batinah South Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, and the degree of practicing administrative decision-making processes, and determining the relationship between them, and the differences according to the variables of gender and years of experience. This study targeted a sample of (385) male and female teachers in the schools of the second cycle of basic education and the researcher employed the method of correlational survey studies. The questionnaire consists of two parts, the first part included the dimensions of management information systems (hard components, human resources, software, information quality), and the second part included administrative decision-making processes. The study reached several results, including:
1. The study sample's assessment of the degree of employing management information systems among school principals in the second cycle of basic education in the Al Batinah South Governorate came with a high degree.
2. The study sample's assessment of the degree of practicing administrative decision-making processes among school principals of the second cycle of basic education in the Al Batinah South Governorate with a high degree.
3. There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) in the degree of employing of information quality due to the gender variable, in favor of females.
4. There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the degree of employing of material components and human cadres due to the variable of years of experience, in favor of those whose experience was more than 10 years.
5. There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the degree of practicing administrative decision-making processes due to the variable of years of experience, in favor of those whose experience exceeds 10 years.
6. There is a statistically significant positive relationship between the degree of employing of management information systems and administrative decision-making among principals of schools of the second cycle of basic education in the Al Batinah South Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the teachers' point of view. The study made several recommendations, including:
1. Holding more workshops and training courses for school principals in the governorate; to clarify the purpose of using management information systems, and the role it plays in decision-making.
2. Preparing a procedural guide on management information systems and its relationship to administrative decision-making processes, which includes both theoretical and practical aspects.
