This study aims to shed light on telemedicine and study it in detail, by knowing its conditions and controls for its provision to reach the criminal liability resulting from the provision of telemedicine services, the study relied on the descriptive analytical approach and the comparative approach by extrapolating the articles of the laws related to the subject and analyzing them to determine the extent of their application to telemedicine, and the extent of their adequacy to solve all the problems resulting from it, and comparing them with Emirati legislation and other legislation, The study was divided into an introductory section that dealt with the nature of telemedicine, a first chapter that talked about the scope of criminal liability arising from telemedicine, and a second chapter that dealt with crimes associated with the practice of telemedicine
The study concluded several results, the most important of which were:
1.Telemedicine is a modern form of medical work, carried out through the use of technology, but it is not a substitute for regular medicine
2. The commitment of the telemedicine practitioner differs from the commitment of the practitioner of the medical profession and the allied health professions in regular medicine, so that the telemedicine practitioner must be more careful and careful.
3. Telemedicine services have been implemented in the Sultanate of Oman, and have been regulated by internal regulations that regulate their workflow. A ministerial decision has also been issued regulating the provision of this service in private institutions in the absence of a special legislative organization that specifies controls for its application in practice.
The study recommends developing a legal regulation that specifies the conditions and controls for providing telemedicine services, and clarifies the obligations of each party.
