This study aimed to identify the Obstacles of sports investment at sports clubs in the
Sultanate of Oman, by identifying the obstacles (administrative, procedural, technical,
economic, media and promotional) facing investment in sports clubs in the Sultanate of
Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study; The researcher used the descriptive approach,
a specialist in survey studies, as it was appropriate to the nature of the study, as data related
to the subject of the study was collected using a questionnaire tool, which was applied to
(106) individuals who responded to the study tool.
The study reached a set of results, the most important of which was the presence of
many economic obstacles facing investment in sports clubs in the Sultanate of Oman, such
as deficiencies in training programs and workshops that qualify Omani cadres to work in the
field of sports investment. There are also technical obstacles, the most important of which is
the lack of professional players and sports teams qualified for sports competitions in a way
that encourages investment in them, in addition to the presence of economic obstacles, which
were represented by the lack of funding sources for investment in sports clubs, and the most
important media and promotional obstacles were the lack of marketing for the projects.
Investment through advertisements during matches.
The study concluded with several recommendations, including the need to increase
government support provided to sports bodies and increase funding resources, in order to
enable these bodies to use modern scientific methods and advanced technology to establish
investment activity.
