The study aims was to analyze & review the master's thesis, which deal with professional guidance specialists in the Sultanate of Oman within ten years from (2007 to 2016), the role of these messages and studies in enhancing the professional guidance specialists work in Oman, the programs and the training they need for it. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher analyzed the master's thesis which dealt with professional guidance specialists in the Sultanate of Oman, clarifying the objectives, samples, tools, curricula, the results for each study, analyzed its content and concentrate
on which they focused on.
These studies results showed the importance of vocational guidance especially in
the educational system, the difficulties existence, challenges faced by professional
guidance specialists.
By reviewing these studies, the researcher found the following results:
1- The importance of vocational guidance in the Sultanate of Oman, especially in the
educational system and the need for a vocational guidance specialist in schools.
2- Professional guidance specialists represent high guidance competencies, and the most important competencies are those which are necessary towards themselves while the less important are towards the school work.
3- Vocational guidance specialists face difficulties and challenges, and the most important of these difficulties are the lack of special resources for vocational guidance and lack of resources halls which are equipped with the latest devices and tools.
4- Vocational guidance specialists are assigned to do additional work in schools not
linked to vocational guidance.
5- The most persistent needs of vocational guidance specialists are professional needs
and community cooperation.
6- School principals contribute significantly to the vocational guidance or students.
