The study aimed to know the parental abuse level and its relationship to psychological adjustment and the level of aspiration with 9th grade at Albatina region and to know the differences in level of the parental abuse under the gender variable. The study sample consisted of (797) students (398 males, 399 females). To achieve the goals of the study, three scales were used: parental abuse scale, psychological adjustment scale, and the aspiration level scale, and the validity and stability of the three scales was proved. The results of the study showed that the parental abuse level in grade nine at Albatina region was high; the bodily abuse was at first rank, the mentality abuse at the second rank, negligence abuse at the last rank, the psychological adjustment level was low for the whole scale, it was highest at the emotional adjustment then domestic adjustment after that social adjustment, and it was lower at personal adjustment, the aspiration level for the sample was medium, and the presence of negative correlation statically significant
between parental abuse and psychological adjustment, and
between abuse and the aspiration level, and there were
differences parental abuse level for students attributed to
gender variable for advantage of females. The results of the
study were discussed in the light of the theoretical framework
and previous studies, and in light of the results reached in this
study was to formulate some recommendations.
