This research discusses the emergence of the art of praising the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from its early beginnings during the era of the Prophet to the Mamluk era, exploring its development stages and the factors that contributed to its flourishing, which made it a distinct art form. It highlights the attachment of Mamluk-era poets to this genre and their influence by al-Busiri, with Safi al-Din al-Hilli being a prominent figure. The study provides a brief introduction to the life of Safi al-Din al-Hilli, explaining his style and approach in composing his poems, the characteristics of his praises for the Prophet in terms of form and content, his extensive culture, and poetic skills in adapting difficult vocabulary and using old terms without altering their meaning. The study aims to identify the features of al-Hilli's poetry in his prophetic praises, distinguishing them from others, and to outline the stages of development and his goals in composing them.
