The present study aimed to identify the extent of the level of burnout and job satisfaction among social workers in schools in the Sultanate of Oman. The study investigate the pressures that the social worker at schools might be exposed to by observing their daily works, their ability, skills and capabilities to control these pressures.
In additional to that, the study examine the environment that the social workers work in and discuss the way to finds the right environment in schools that make the social worker capable of giving in order to provide them and the student with a healthy environment that help them overcome the obstacles they faces. The researcher launched a series of questions during interviews with specialists in different academic levels and years of experience and the axes of the questions revolve around the impact of work stress and its relationship to job satisfaction for the social worker and whether this pressure to evolve and reach the stage of burnout, or is the worker is able to control it by following some exercises that help them relax and venting on these pressures for professional. The researcher also focuses on the performance of the social worker's and whether the worker is able to control the pressure by following some exercises that help to relax and to vent this pressure.
The study sample included a group of social workers, distributed in most regions of the Sultanate of Oman to both sexes from different schools and grade levels; taking into account the different years of experience. Interview was conducted with the social workers and list of questions was developed and a dialogue and discussion between the interviewer and the social worker was carried out to identify the extent of job satisfaction among social worker, is there any pressure concerned and finally does the pressure has reached the stage of burnout.
