This study aimed to prove that Pseudopyropoikilocytosis Leading to Spurious Results. This study was based on the diagnosis of a 21-year-old woman who was referred to the hematology department at Sultan Qaboos Hospital in July 2012 after abnormal laboratory results. One of the most important findings of this study is that Hereditary hepatitis is an unusual phenomenon caused by overheating of the laboratory, and false results obtained from overheated samples lead to confusion in the diagnosis. One of the most important recommendations concluded by the study is for hematologists to be aware of the characteristics of their analyzers when evaluating CBC results, and to be able to recognize and circumvent abnormal results, abnormal results require a careful assessment of the dispersion diagrams obtained by the analyzer in addition to a blood film and a repeated sample; failure to recognize false results leads to potentially harmful interventions.
