At the end of 2020, the Sultanate of Oman launched
its national vision (Oman 2040) to be a comprehensive guide and an essential reference for all
planning and development projects during the next
two decades. In essence, Oman's Vision 2040 is
the Sultanate's future bet to overcome challenges
and keep pace with regional and global changes,
through twelve national priorities on which the vision is based to achieve economic prosperity and
social well-being, and to reach advanced levels of
human development in all governorates of the Sultanate.
Given that there is a solid international approach
linking the consolidation of security and the suc cess of development, modern security is the basis of
development and the tool of prosperity, and thus its
vital role is evident in achieving the strategic goals
of the Oman vision. Similarly, the role of the Royal
Oman Police is irrefutable in supporting such an
important stage of national development, as it the
governmental body competent to maintain public
order and peace in all areas of life, which requires
ROP to accelerate the pace of its efforts to achieve
alignment and integration with the national goals
and strategies of Oman's future vision.
