The aim of this study is to analyze the differences between the outstanding and remedial students in the working memory capacity and levels of processing (shallow –intermediate- Deep). Also, it analyzes the gender role in the working memory capacity and levels of processing, and identifies the working memory capacity and levels of processing for the selected sample. The sample consisted (240) students (Males / females) from the fourth grades studying at Al Dhakhalia region. In this study, a battery based measurement developed by Alloway in 2007, used to measure the working memory capacity for this study. Calculated means, standard deviation, and general liner models were used to analyze the results of the study. One of the most important outcomes of this study, that there are major differences between the outstanding and remedies students in the working memory capacity and levels of processing. However, there are no differences between genders in the working memory capacity and levels of processing. Overall, the overall performance of the sample on the working memory capacity measurement and levels of processing was less than average. Several recommendations and action items were submitted,
