The study aimed to explore the requirements of applying electronic training in the middle managements of educational regional directorates in Sultanate of Oman, to find out the main factors facilitating it, and to identify the most prominent barriers. It also investigated the differences in the requirements of applying electronic training according to the educational region variable. The study sample consisted of 250 persons including general directors, their deputies, department heads and their deputies working in the following educational regions: Muscat, Buraymi, Dhofar, Musandam, Southern Batinah, Dahirah and Alwusta. The study followed the descriptive approach by using a questionnaire consisting of 53 items measuring the three areas of the research. Data was statistically analyzed using means, standard deviations, and T-test. In addition, interview were used to strengthen study result. The study results showed that the study sample rated all three areas as highly importanant. The design stage was the most important followed by the analysis stage. In addition, all items in the three areas of the study (requirements of applying electronic training in the middle management in educational regional directorates, facilitating factors, and expected barriers) were at the middle level of importance. The study also found no statistically significant differences at the level of 0.05 in all three areas of the study according to the application the educational portal variable. The study concluded with some recommendations and suggestions for future research. It also provides a framework for implementing electronic training in the middle managements of educational regional directorates in Sultanate of Oman and procedures for its provision.
