This study aims at reaching a proposed on professional mentoring for new school principles in the Sultanate of Oman. In an attempt to reach a solid understanding of all aspects of mentoring, a thorough review of some International mentoring models has been conducted, along with the theoretical perspective on the subject of mentoring. In addition to that, the potential application of professional mentoring has been examined through a field study, in which a questionnaire was developed and divided into three sections. The first section represented the basics of the study (objectives, funding, and evaluation), whereas, the second section of the questionnaire represents the multiplechoice questions, that aimed at considering some aspects pertinent to professional mentoring such as the required time to implement mentoring, and how to select a mentor for effective mentoring program. The third section of the questionnaire represented the difficulties that might face the application of professional mentoring program for new school principles in the Sultanate of Oman. The questionnaire was distributed to (379) individuals as the total sample for this study, including (361) principles, and (18) administrative advisers. The analytical method adopted for analyzing the feedback received from the questionnaire is statistical package of social sciences (SPSS). This study resulted into the following:
1. The sample individuals for this study welcomed the idea of mentoring new principles professionally, and their understanding of the essence of developing professional mentoring.
2. No differences were found as a statistical indication at level (0.055) among average estimations of sample individuals that can be attributed to gender variable.
3. No differences were found as a statistical indication at level (0.05=) among average estimations of sample individuals that can be attributed to job variable.
4. No differences were found as a statistical indication at level (0.05=) among average estimations of sample individuals that can be attributed to educational qualification variable.
5. No differences were found as a statistical indication at level (0.05=) among average estimations of sample individuals that can be attributed to years of experience variable on all aspect of profession mentoring for new principles.
In light of the above results, the study has reached a proposal of a new professional mentoring program for new school principles in the Sultanate of Oman. This proposal includes the following points: objectives of the proposed mentoring program, its requirements, its application procedures, its expected results, and difficulties that could be faced, and suggested solutions to overcome these difficulties and finally the methods of evaluation
