This study aims to reveal the most important non-Muslim communities in the Sultanate of Oman, which represent the target group to be introduced to Islam. Its purpose is to highlight the efforts of Omani personalities who served this kind of Da'wa in the Sultanate of Oman and to explain the methods used for this purpose. It aims at discussing the challenges that calling non-Muslims to Islam face and to find the best solutions to reduce these challenges as much as possible.
The methods used in this study are the inductive method by conducting multiple interviews with preachers, invitees and stakeholders. Also, the comparative method to compare between the different preachers in the Sultanate of Oman themselves and between them and others. The deductive method is used in this study by devising a number of solutions that have not been expressly mentioned in books and contemporary methods of Da'wa. Also, the analytical method was used to analyze data on individual and institutional efforts as well as challenges and solutions. The study consists of two chapters: the first chapter is about the reality of Da'wa in the Sultanate of Oman. The second chapter discusses the challenges that this kind of Da wa faces and the best solutions for it. Among the most important results of this study, we may state that Omani people have been interested in doing Da'wa in the past and in the present. While in the past, preachers were mainly scientists and traders, in the present it is mainly people of good reputation and intention, including Shaikh Khalfan Al-'Isarī, may Allah have mercy on him, Shaikh Zaher A1 Alawi and Ms. Sakinah Al-Gaithiah. Also, the official centers for doing Dawaa are the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs and Islamic Information Center and these centers are still need administrative organization, institutional and financial support despite their efforts. Another result is that the non-governmental groups are Al Borooj Project, Al Kalim AL Tayeb and the Academy of Understanding the Holy Quran and these centers lack the institutional and Financial support. Also, the preachers face many Challenges including social, financial, administrative and lack scientific efficiency while the challenges that the invitees face are social, political, financial, administrative, intellectual and lack scientific efficiency. The most important solution to reduce the challenges faced by the preachers and invitees is to raise the awareness among Omani people of the importance of calling the communities to Islam.
