This study aims to evaluate the developed Islamic Sciences Books (2) in Islamic Institutes in the light of quality standards from the teachers perspectives. Besides, identifying the students' trends toward Islamic Sciences (2) subject through answering the following questions:
To what extent the quality standards is available in the developed Islamic Sciences(2) books from teachers' perspectives in these four fields ( The book technical production, methods of evaluation, the core curriculum and the way of presenting it)?
Do the teachers' evaluation for Islamic Sciences (2) subject differ if the grade is different?
What are the students' trends toward Islamic Sciences (2) subject in the three grades (grade 10, 11 and 12)?
Do students' trends toward Islamic Sciences (2) subject differ when the grade is different?
To answer these questions the researcher used two tools: the first is a questionnaire which includes (74) criteria that cover four areas (The book technical production, methods of evaluation, the core curriculum and the way of presenting it) and it has been approved by 12 arbitrators, and to ensure its stability the researcher apply it to (19) teachers, so the total stability was (0.94).
he second tool is trends scale which includes (25) criteria in three areas ( students' trends toward enjoying the subject, students' trends toward the content of the subject and students' trends toward the importance of the subject ) and it has been approved by 12 arbitrators, and to ensure its stability the researcher apply it to the study sample which is (408) students, and the total stability was (0.87)
The most important results are : From the teachers' perspectives, the Islamic Sciences (2) subject in the three grades received a high quality ratio. The questionnaire fields also received a high quality ratio in the three books except for one field which is presenting the material of the subject and it received average quality ratio in grade 10 and 11 books. Students' trends toward the subject received (agree) rate in the three grades.
According to the results, the researcher recommends that: presenting the material of the subject should be developed in the three grades. Also, students' trends toward enjoying the subject and the content need to be enhanced. Moreover, it's very important to process the standards which received (average) and (low) rate in the questionnaire. Or the ones which received (neutral) rate in the trends scale. In addition to that the researcher gives some suggestions for further studies.
