This research has dealt with deception at the (Omani Maqama) and seeking to achieve two objectives, first talking about the Omani (Maqama) from the modern point of view of the narrative studies and to practice its details thus re-read these Maqamas, and the second objective was to identify the real image which has been painted by the Omani community for the personality of deluder and the added details for that character.
For those reasons, this study had two trends: narrative and rhythmic walking parallel due to the combination of these two directions in the Maqama in general and at the Omani Maqama in particular taking advantage of that from the Arabic narrative research works the Maqamaa and what the modern narrative studies offers of tools help us considering and studying these Maqama according to modern perspective with what emerged from the modern curriculum in narrative studies, The research has been divided into three chapters: the first chapter the first chapter presented a overview of the Maqama in general and the Omani Maqama in particular through research in terms of deception and delusion and the rank of delusion in the Arabic prose then studying the Omani Maqama and giving a general summary about its founders and themes.
Then came the second chapter in the three sections, the first devoted to the study of the internal and the external rhythmical structure of these Maqamas trying to follow the Omani Maqama founders in building the deception details and the role which has been played by these sequence of events and to talk about its descriptions, features and the most important components. whereas, the second section dealt with the narrative vision which the narrator has followed in constructing and building the events, and the focus which has to be put over the character and the types of focalization available at the occasions and the focalizers who were making the focalization as well as the narrator.
The third is about the incident and the gradual sequence of events and the kind of this gradulisation and the relationship between these events, which the narrative researchers have talked about like Genette and Todorov.
The last chapter is specialized in studying the deluder or the deceiver in these Maqama from theoretical and practical point of view depending on what Philip Hamoun has introduce in the narrative studies of constructing the character. and in the last section of this research a short study about the changes in events and characters that the Omani Maqama have witnessed and the Maqama which are based ont the deception in particular.
